Michael Robertson

Michael lives in Milan, TN and travels to Jackson Daily. He is the current J.C.C. president and has been playing chess competitively sense 2008, becoming the 2010 Jackson City Champion. He is now a class “A” tournament player and ranked 39th in the state of Tennessee putting him in the top 95th percentile in the State.

He is married to his wife Corrie Robertson and has 6 wonderful stepchildren, Canaan, Grace, Tarra, Cameron, Julian and Cullen. Michael currently works as a tech support specialist for an internet service provider and would like to become a full time chess coach for a local high school or college.

Michael is available to teach at all levels and ages, from beginner to class A level. The fees are $20 per lesson which includes specific lessons built around the student’s needs, analysis of all of the student’s games, homework and reading material that the student will work on by themselves, and software that will assist with the lessons. Each lesson is 1 hour – 1 1/2 hours long depending on the material covered. He is available for over the board lessons and online lessons using Chess.com and Skype. Michael is also available for group lessons and simuls.
